14 But their minds were hardened;
for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted,
because it is removed in Christ. 15 But to this day whenever
Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; 16 but whenever
a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
II Corinthians 4 (NASB)
3 And even if our gospel is veiled,
it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the
god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the
light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

II Corinthians 11 (NASB)
8 I robbed other churches by taking
wages from them to serve you; 9 and when I was present with
you and was in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for when the brethren came from
Macedonia they fully supplied my need, and in everything I kept myself from being a burden
to you, and will continue to do so.
13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers,
disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises
himself as an angel of light.15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also
disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their
deeds. 16 Again I say, let no one think me foolish; but if you do, receive me even as
foolish, so that I also may boast a little.

32 In Damascus the ethnarch
under Aretas the king was guarding the city of the Damascenes in order to seize me, 33 and I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and
so escaped his hands.
