Guidebook. For Israel we suggest The Holy Land by Jerome Murphy-O'Connor. Without a good guidebook you will miss many opportunities to learn and grow on the trip. Reading Materials. You may want to bring several books as the afternoons tend to be long. Writing Materials. Paper, notebooks and extra pens. These are expensive in Israel and pens tend to explode in the heat. We suggest you create a day-by-day trip diary to recall your memories. You can purchase a trip diary at almost any office supply store. Song Books. Consider bringing a small song book with your favorites. Camera. Don't forget an adequate supply of film or sufficient storage for your digital pictures. Camcorder. Make sure you have sufficient storage capacity for the taping you want.
