The Gospel of Mark

Mark 1 (NASB)

21
29 And
immediately after they came out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and
Andrew, with James and John. 30 Now Simon's mother-in-law was
lying sick with a fever; and immediately they spoke to Jesus about her. 31 And He came to her and raised her up, taking her by the hand,
and the fever left her, and she waited on them.
34 And He healed many who were
ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He was not permitting the demons
to speak, because they knew who He was.
Mark 2 (NASB)
1 When He had
come back to Capernaum several days afterward, it was heard that He was at home.
14 As He passed by, He saw Levi the
son of Alphaeus sitting in the tax booth, and He said to him, "Follow
Me!" And he got up and followed Him.

Mark 5 (NASB)
1 They came to the
other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes.
11 Now there was a large herd of
swine feeding nearby on the mountain. 12 The demons implored
Him, saying, "Send us into the swine so that we may enter them." 13 Jesus gave them permission. And coming
out, the unclean spirits entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into
the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.
20 And he went away and began to
proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.

Mark 6 (NASB)
3 "Is not this the carpenter, the
son of Mary, and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here
with us?" And they took offense at Him.
46 After bidding them farewell, He
left for the mountain to pray.
Mark 7 (NASB)

14 After He called the crowd to Him again, He began saying to
them, "Listen to Me, all of you, and understand: 15 there is nothing outside the man which can
defile him if it goes into him; but the things which proceed out of the man are what
defile the man.
19
20 And He was saying, "That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. 21
"For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications,
thefts, murders, adulteries, 22 deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit,
sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. 23 "All these evil things proceed
from within and defile the man."
31 Again He
went out from the region of Tyre, and came through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, within the
region of Decapolis.
Mark 8 (NASB)
31 And He began to
teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the
elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three
days rise again. 32 And He was stating the
matter plainly. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. 33 But
turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter, and said, "Get
behind Me, Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but
man's."
Mark 9 (NASB)
4
31 For He was
teaching His disciples and telling them, "The Son of Man is to be delivered
into the hands of men, and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He
will rise three days later." 32 But they
did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask Him.
Mark 10 (NASB)
And again He took the twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to
happen to Him, 33 saying, "Behold, we are
going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests
and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and will deliver Him to the
Gentiles. 34 "And
they will mock Him and spit upon Him, and scourge Him, and kill Him, and three
days later He will rise again."
51 And answering him, Jesus said, "What do you want Me
to do for you?" And the blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, I want to regain my
sight!"
Mark 12 (NASB)
14 They came and said to Him,
"Teacher, we know that You are truthful and defer to no one; for You are not partial
to any, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or
not? 15 "Shall we pay or shall we not pay?" But He,
knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why are you testing Me?
Bring Me a denarius to look at." 16 They brought
one. And He said to them, "Whose likeness and inscription is
this?" And they said to Him, "Caesar's." 17
And Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are
Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were amazed at Him.

Mark 13 (NASB)
1 As He was going out of the temple, one
of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, behold what wonderful stones and what
wonderful buildings!" 2 And Jesus said to him, "Do you see
these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another which will not be torn
down." 3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and
James and John and Andrew were questioning Him privately, 4 "Tell us, when will these
things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be
fulfilled?" 5 And Jesus began to say to them, "See to it
that no one misleads you. 6 "Many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He!' and will
mislead many. 7 "When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened;
those things must take place; but that is not yet the end. 8
"For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be
earthquakes in various places; there will also be famines. These things are merely the
beginning of birth pangs.
9 "But be on your guard; for they will deliver you to the courts,
and you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings
for My sake, as a testimony to them. 10 "The gospel must first be preached to all the
nations. 11 "When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about
what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who
speak, but it is the Holy Spirit. 12 "Brother will betray brother to death, and a
father his child; and children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. 13
"You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he
will be saved.
14 "But when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION standing where
it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the
mountains. 15 "The one who is on the housetop must not go down, or go in to get
anything out of his house; 16 and the one who is in the field must not turn back to get
his coat. 17 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies
in those days! 18 "But pray that it may not happen in the winter. 19 "For those
days will be a time of tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the
creation which God created until now, and never will. 20 "Unless the Lord had
shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom
He chose, He shortened the days. 21 "And then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is
the Christ'; or, 'Behold, He is there'; do not believe him; 22 for false Christs and false
prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if
possible, the elect. 23 "But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in
advance.
24 "But in those days, after that tribulation, THE SUN WILL BE
DARKENED AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, 25 AND THE STARS WILL BE FALLING from
heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. 26 "Then they will see
THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS with great power and glory. 27 "And then He will send
forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the
farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven.
28 "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has
already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. 29
"Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that He is near,
right at the door. 30 "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until
all these things take place. 31 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will
not pass away. 32 "But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in
heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
33 "Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the
appointed time will come. 34 "It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving
his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded
the doorkeeper to stay on the alert. 35 "Therefore, be on the alertfor you do not
know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when
the rooster crows, or in the morning 36 in case he should come suddenly and find you
asleep. 37 "What I say to you I say to all, 'Be on the alert!'"
Mark 14 (NASB)
12 On the first day of Unleavened Bread,
when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples said to Him, "Where do You
want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?" 13 And He sent two of His disciples and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of
water; follow him; 14 and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, "The
Teacher says, "Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My
disciples?'" 15 "And he himself will show you a large
upper room furnished and ready; prepare for us there." 16 The disciples went out and came to the city, and found it just
as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
17 When it was evening He came with the
twelve. 18 As they were reclining at the table and eating,
Jesus said, "Truly I say to you that one of you will betray
Me--one who is eating with Me." 19 They began to
be grieved and to say to Him one by one, "Surely not I?" :20
And He said to them, "It is one of the twelve, one who dips
with Me in the bowl. 21 "For the Son of Man is to go just as it is written of Him;
but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that
man if he had not been born."
22 While they
were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them,
and said, "Take it; this is My body." 23 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to
them, and they all drank from it. 24 And He said to them, "This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. 25
"Truly I say to you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day
when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." 26 After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
32 They came to a
place named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, "Sit here
until I have prayed."
50 And they all left Him and
fled.
51 A young man was
following Him, wearing nothing but a linen sheet over his naked body; and they seized him.
52 But he pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked.
